We look forward to seeing you!

Groups of 9 or Less

Self-Guided Tours

For groups of up to 9, complimentary self-guided tours are a wonderful way to enjoy the scenery around our farm and learn more about traditional cider-making and distilling. While you’re here, fill your belly with a meal lovingly prepared by our culinary wizards in the gastropub, then grab a map from the tasting bar and take a peaceful stroll through the orchards. Afterwards, join us for a tasting at the bar or a flight in the lounge, where we can answer any questions and introduce you to our roster of award-winning ciders and spirits. *Please note, this tour option is only available for small groups.

Tastings and Flights

Visit our tasting bar and lounge to experience our lineup of craft ciders and spirits. We offer several guided tasting options with our knowledgeable staff at the bar, as well as self-guided flights that you can enjoy with friends in our lounge. Net proceeds from tastings are donated to local community charities. Ask us at the tasting bar about this month's featured charity.

NEW! Gin & Tonic Mixologist - available for groups of 4 or more

Let the spirits move you!  Become a Gin & Tonic mixologist in our lounge or at a pub table.  With Merridale’s own craft gin, the finest premium tonics, and a variety of garnishes, we invite you to explore tastes, edify your palate and engage your nose!  This unique tasting experience provides you with four glasses each, which means four chances to discover the tastes that make your heart sing by mixing and matching from the ingredients provided.

NEW! Aged Spirit Flight

Merridale is the first Certified Craft Distillery in British Columbia, and we have been distilling since 2007. Stop by the tasting bar to sample some of our oldest spirits. The Aged Spirit Flight includes our 7 year old Cowichan Cider Brandy, the 8 year old Whisky Jack's, and a 10 year old Cowichan XXO Brandy. Visit our Spirits page to learn more about our distillery.

Bring Your Kids!

Kids are welcome at Merridale, and will be delighted to embark on a treasure hunt as they look for our little helpers, the magical Apple Blossom Faeries who are rumoured to live in the orchard.

Économusée

Merridale is a proud partner of the Économusée British Colombia Artisans at Work Network. An Économusée is an enterprise that uses traditional methods in the production of fine crafts or agri-foods, such as our ciders and spirits. When you visit us for a guided or self-guided tour or a tasting, you will engage in an authentic cultural experience in our cellar, distillery and tasting room, and discover our artisan production methods and practices. You may even have the chance to meet some of our cidermakers and distillers!

Groups of 10 or More

If you are planning a visit with a group of ten or more, we have several options available, including private guided tours of our distillery and cellar, customized tastings of the products you’re most interested in, curated group menus, and mini-seminars on distilling! Please contact us to book a group and let us help you plan an experience to remember.

Private Guided Cidery & Distillery Tour

Want to get introduced to Merridale craft cider and spirits? A private guided tour of our cellar, distillery and grounds is the perfect way. Experience the Merridale farm from the eyes of an expert, and visit areas not open to the general public. You will see how we make our ciders start to finish, experience the process of distillation and gain insight into how we create our spirits and fortified line of ciders. During the summer, you will taste ciders in a covered orchard area, spirits in the distillery, and a fortified in our lounge. In the cooler months, cider tastings may take place indoors. Be sure to pick up a bottle of your favourite product to take home! Consider adding on a meal for a discounted tour price.

The Merridale Gastropub

Come in for a specialty meal with your group, created by our Merridale chefs. Add a meal component, like our Little Red Wagon Picnic, to enjoy after your tasting, or book the farmhouse for a fine dining dinner to celebrate a special occasion.

Visit our Special Events page for full details on our food options for groups.
