A little story. A“ Rhumb line” is an imaginary line on the earth’s surface cutting all meridians at the same angle. It’s used as a method of plotting a ship’s course on a chart – a path with a constant bearing. Our path to make rum from BC grown products was a journey of exploration. Traditionally, Rum is made from Molasses or sugar cane, and those ingredients just aren’t grown in BC. Following our bearings of being true to craft and BC ingredients, we created a method using BC honey. Then we ferment, distilled in our small batch copper still, and age in oak barrels. Our Spiced Rhumb has a Caribbean-spice profile with vanilla notes and a deep amber colour.” Since we are NOT making a traditional Rum, and we want to be respectful of appellations, we opted for “Rhumb” with an “h” and “b”.
It’s a story. Stop by anytime to pickup it up prior to dad’s day of honour. We are here for you. Literally, 7 days week!
The Cuba libre is a popular drink, but what about a Cabo Libre drink for Dad? Why Cabo rather than Cuba? It’s all about the Mexican influence of our Jalisco Cider – our lime infused summer seasonal. Imagine this taste sensation - Smooth Merridale Rhumb, lime infused Jalisco Cider, a touch of sweetness from cola, and dash of zest from fresh lime juice. True, you can’t travel right now, but while you staycation in BC this summer, sip on a Cabo libre and dream of your favourite tropical spot.
